Polish Hill River Valley

Wine Region

Polish Hill River Valley is a notable sub region within the Clare Valley’s grapegrowing inlets. Located between Mintaro and Sevenhill, this area is home to a cluster of premium wineries, including Paulett Wines, Pikes Wines and Wilson Vineyard. It takes its name from the Polish settlement that began in the 1850s, along the upper reaches of the Hill River. Visitors can learn the local history of this hamlet in the restored church that now acts as a museum, open the first Sunday of the month. The wines from this sub region boast elegance, character and quality.
