Jeffrey Grosset

Jeffrey Grosset is owner and founder of Grosset Wines, located in Auburn. After graduating in Oenology and Agriculture and working in the industry, Grosset established the winery 1981. Grosset Wines’ philosophy has remained steadfast, with an emphasis on purity of fruit and remaining small. Renowned as an innovator, Grosset campaigned the legal integrity of the Riesling grape, and was influential in the introduction of screwcap closures. He was voted the inaugural ‘Australian Winemaker of the Year’ by Gourmet Traveller WINE in 1998, recognised in the ‘Top 10 White Winemakers’ (Decanter, UK) and one of the ‘50 Most Influential Winemakers’ (Wine & Spirits, USA). Recently, he was inducted into the Clare Valley Hall of Fame.
