The town of Burra is a step back in time, and what better way to explore this heritage hub than with the Burra Heritage Passport? The Burra Heritage Passport is an 11 kilometre self-guided tour of the town, showcasing Burra’s copper and mining history. The Passport explores eight locked buildings, including the Burra Monster Mine, Redruth Gaol, Burra Dugouts and Burra’s Museum, plus 50 other sites of interest. Visitors can explore the remnants of this small community and learn firsthand what it would have been like to live in a thriving mining town in the golden days.
