The Heritage Garden

Walter and Kay Duncan

The Heritage Garden is a stunning example of a lush country garden hidden in Gillentown, to the west of Sevenhill. Proudly owned by Walter and Kay Duncan, the landscape consists of six acres, containing 2000 rose bushes, a quince orchard, lawns and a range of perennials. There’s also a 100 year old cottage, which is a thriving bed and breakfast, while the garden plays host to weddings and photo shoots. In 2009, Walter received a ‘World Rose Award’ in recognition of his services to the promotion of the rose, one of only three Australians to receive this award. The garden is open to the public in November.
